Zines

Zines

Zines, short for magazines, are short, experimental, and typically self-published books of art and writing. There’s a heavy emphasis on DIY in the zine community, with many zines being printed in black and white and stapled by hand. At community zine fests, zinesters buy, sell, and trade their work. I’ve published several zines of art and writing and have tabled at fests including LA Zine Fest, Joshua Tree Zine Fest, OC Zine Fest, and UCI Zine Fest.

The cover for my zine "A Six Letter Word for Slime: Lemuria as Gender Identity." An image shows a woman facing to the right, holding an ourobouros in her left hand.
